English Learning Programs
for Spanish-Speakers
Our Trabajadores Series
In 2007 we introduced our first English learning program
– for Hispanic workers in manufacturing, logistics, assembly and other
industrial fields. The program was developed from the workers'
perspective and had three primary objectives:

To introduce English basics to Spanish-speaking
workers – pronunciation, meeting & greeting people, basic
American workplace cultural differences, and common everyday
expressions.

To help the Spanish-speaker become a more valuable
employee by gaining understanding of English instructions, safety
guidelines, on-the-job directions, tools and tasks and more.

To empower Spanish-speaking employees by helping them
learn English expressions that will promote a better workplace
experience for them, such as asking about pay and benefits, learning to
report accidents and injuries, calling in to report illness or an
unplanned absence.
With the success of our first program, Trabajadores
Industriales, came the impetus to create a series of programs for workers in
various occupations. The programs do require literacy to use the
learning manual, although you may order audio CDs only by contacting us.
Our Trabajadores programs are best used in a class training setting led by a
bilingual facilitator. As with all of our programs, it can be
customized to meet specific needs.
